Page 1 of 8 Want to learn how to program?
Before you can learn how to program you really need to know what its all about. Don’t just jump in and try learning things piecemeal, a bit here and a bit there. It is important to what you want to achieve and which tools are required to help you reach your goal. Do some background research, there are more resources available than any person could ever read. The Internet is full of guides, how to's and sample programs that can be adapted to meet almost anyone’s requirements.
I was once told but I cant remember who told me
" The only limits to the internet are the limits of your imagination "
I believe this to be also true of programming. Programming is not something I have ever mastered in any language but I have manage to utilise the facilities available and create what I've needed to, by writing new or by adapting existing code.
Of all the sites availible one of the best all encompassing websites which covers all things related to web language programming http://www.w3schools.com/
Here are some links to the most common languages used today
These are just some pages that offer tutorilals in programming languages, and these are but a few of the languages available there are many others. theses are just a selection of links that have been used and have helped in the building of knowledge for wannabegeek.
